How to Send Messages to Alphanumeric Pagers

Step 1 - Type the pager number

• Enter the 7 digit phone number or the 5 digit ID number that is printed on the back of the pager
• Do not enter dashes or other punctuation
• Example pager numbers:
  • A 7 digit pager phone number: 5554321     (do not include the "250" prefix)
  • A 5 digit pager ID number:       17654

Step 2 - Type your message

• Text messages may contain up to 300 characters including letters, numbers and space characters
• Any characters beyond 300 characters will be discarded
• Your message should include both your name and a phone number where you can be reached
• Example text message:
  • Hi, it's John Smith. Call me at 555-5555, I need to know how much material I should order today. 

Step 3 - Send your message

• When your message has been typed, click "Send"
• It takes about a minute for your message to arrive at the pager

 

How to Send Messages to Numeric Pagers

Step 1 - Type the pager number

• Enter the 7 digit phone number or the 5 digit ID number that is printed on the back of the pager
• Do not enter dashes or other punctuation
• Example pager numbers:
  • A 7 digit pager phone number: 5554321     (do not include the "250" prefix)
  • A 5 digit pager ID number:       17654

Step 2 - Type your message

• Numeric messages may contain up to 18 characters
• You may use digits (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0), dashes (-) and spaces ( )
• Example numeric message:
  • 1 250 555-4321   (meaning: Phone me at this number)

Step 3 - Send your message

• When your message has been typed, click "Send"
• It takes about a minute for your message to arrive at the pager
