RadioWorks Paging FAQs

Internet Paging FAQs

  • Go to the RadioWorks Internet Paging website.
  • You will only be able to send messages to RadioWorks pagers.
  • Type the pager’s phone number (no area code prefix and no dashes).
  • Enter the 7 digit phone number of the pager. Example: If your pager’s phone number is (250) 555-4321 then you need to enter 5554321.
  • Type a numeric message (usually your phone number).
  • Numeric messages may contain up to 18 characters. You may use digits (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0), dashes (-) and spaces ( ). Example numeric message: 1 250 555-5555 (meaning: Phone me at this number).
  • Send your message.
  • When your message has been typed, click “Send”.
  • It takes about a minute for your message to arrive at the pager.
  • Go to the RadioWorks Internet Paging website.
  • You will only be able to send messages to RadioWorks pagers.

  • Make “Internet Explorer” automatically fill in your pager number on the Internet Paging Form:
    Tools, Internet Options, Content, AutoComplete “Settings”, Forms=Yes, Ok, Ok.
  • Internet Paging is very reliable except when the Internet is running slow due to high traffic volumes, for faster and more consistent service please use our PC Software or Text Paging Dispatch Boards.

Rental Pager FAQs

Use this Email (SMTP) address format to send messages to your pager.

  • 1234567@message.radioworks.ca (your 7 digit phone number).
  • 12345@message.radioworks.ca (your optional 5 digit ID number).

  • PC com-port settings for se nding text to pagers: 38400, 7, E, 1, Hardware handshake
  • US Robotics 56K external modem – DIP switches: (1234 5678): UUDU DUUD
  • US Robotics 56K modem – String: AT &F1 &C1 DT 250-480-2299
  • Other modems should work with: AT &F1 DT 250-480-2299
  • Telephone number for the modem to dial for RadioWorks pagers: 250-480-2299 (call RW for toll-free).
  • If you would like text message dispatch software for your PC – please ask.
